How I Became a Pet Sitter
Animals have always been a passion of mine. Since I was young I’ve always loved animals — both learning about and taking care of them. I began AJ Pet Sitting in my home town of Armidale in 2017 where I shared my love of animals with my clients/pet owners and staff for 4 years. I have recently relocated to the Moreton Bay region with my family and am excited to bring my services to the area - I hope I get the chance to meet your lovely pet soon.
I grew up on a property 10 minutes out of Armidale, NSW. I have grown up around all sorts of animals and they have become my passion. I have lived in country NSW for 28 years, with vast experience both professionally and privately in a variety of settings and with a variety of animals.
I have dogs of my own, as well as living on a family farm which is/has been a home to goats, cats, horses, sheep, chickens, ducks, birds, python, fish, cattle, turtle, pigs and horses. I can care for and walk dogs, and spend time with and care for any other animals you may have. I understand the needs of pets, as well as different individual breed requirements.
I have previously studied a year of Animal Science and a year of Veterinary Technology and have now completed a Bachelor's Degree in AgriculturalProduction and Management. I have experience working in two different veterinary clinics, and am fully aware and capable to deal with all aspects of animal care including the messier side of caring for our beloved pets. I am comfortable around all different types of animals and breeds, and really love spending time with them. I love all pets like they are my own, my pets are my babies and they are absolutely spoilt.
I own a large mixed breed dog called Finnegan (rescue), and a rottweiler called Cerb. Prior to our interstate move I also had 3 horses (Chiffley, Casey and Captain), a cat (Mandu) and some other livestock.
I am more than happy to feed, water, groom, supervise, walk and entertain your animals for a few hours or days depending on your needs.
